Getting started
How does Yuboost work?
You book a check-up or an infusion online. A doctor reviews your health questionnaire and sees you in an online consultation. A registered nurse then comes to your home, office or hotel. Check-up results are read by the doctor, who recommends supplements or an infusion if necessary.
Who is Yuboost for?
Anyone who wants to understand their state of health and act preventively, with concrete data: persistent fatigue, suspected deficiencies, recovery, prevention and longevity. Yuboost does not replace a family doctor in the event of clinical symptoms.
Do I need a prescription?
No. All our check-ups and infusions are prescribed or approved by our own FMH-certified doctors, after a consultation.
Where does Yuboost operate?
Throughout Switzerland, with Lausanne, Geneva, Zurich, Bern and Basel as starting points. Lausanne, Geneva, Zurich. Outside these areas, write to us with your address.
Not sure what I need?
The free online test identifies your potential deficiencies in five minutes and points you to the right check-up. You can also write to us on WhatsApp.
Infusions
What is a vitamin infusion (IV therapy)?
Vitamins, minerals and electrolytes are delivered directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. Through food, 40 to 50 % of micronutrients cross the digestive barrier depending on the food; intravenously, absorption is 100 %.
What exactly is in an infusion?
B vitamins, vitamin B12, vitamin C, antioxidants such as glutathione and minerals such as magnesium and zinc. Each formula targets a specific goal. Details of each active ingredient.
Are infusions effective?
The main advantage is speed and the absence of digestive effects: nutrients pass directly into the blood. The first effects, relaxation and a boost of energy, are often felt during the infusion. However, nothing replaces a balanced diet, regular physical activity and quality sleep.
Why are infusions coloured?
The vitamins give the bag its colour: vitamin B12 tints it pink, B vitamins tint it yellow. No dye is added.
How long should I allow for my infusion?
Booking online gives you access to our infusions within a few hours. Treatments last 45 to 60 minutes on average, with a short consultation beforehand to review your medical history.
Am I eligible for a vitamin infusion?
Your safety is our priority: a short consultation with a doctor takes place before each infusion to review your history and make sure you can have it safely. We do not make any medical diagnosis; our infusions are designed to restore your body's balance.
How often should I have infusions?
We take a personalised approach and advise you on the most suitable programme. To give an idea: Hangover and Super Immunity are one-off infusions, after a night out or during an infection. Myers Cocktail and NAD+ support a longer-term internal rebalancing: they are taken as a pack, over one or several months.
What should I expect during the session?
Our medical staff visit you at the place of your choice (home, workplace, hotel room) and stay present throughout the treatment. They make you comfortable, set up the infusion and answer your questions during the session.
How long before I feel the effects?
Results vary from person to person and depending on the infusion. As a general rule, you feel a sense of well-being and a boost of energy at the end of the session, thanks to the B vitamins. For Hangover, the medication for pain and nausea acts within 30 minutes. In the days that follow, the rebalancing becomes noticeable: deeper sleep, more intense workouts, skin, hair and nails. Some infusions are taken as a pack, others as one-offs.
Are there any side effects?
They are generally non-existent or very mild. Occasionally, discomfort, a bruise, itching, inflammation or redness at the infusion site, lasting from a few minutes to a few days. True allergic reactions are extremely rare. Our team is trained to answer all your questions about possible effects.
Can I resume normal life afterwards?
Yes, as soon as the infusion ends. Many patients have one after intense sport or to rehydrate before a long journey.
Is the treatment suitable for pregnant women?
Only the Hydration infusion is suitable for our pregnant patients.
Is it painful?
Inserting the needle may cause slight discomfort. We work with paediatric catheters for maximum comfort, and our nursing team was selected for its expertise in home care and placing infusions. A few seconds of discomfort for the benefits of the treatment.
Safety and supervision
Are Yuboost infusions safe?
All our formulas were developed by certified Swiss doctors and pharmacists, using pharmaceutical-grade vitamins and nutrients. Each infusion is preceded by a medical consultation. Like any medical procedure, an infusion carries risks: these are explained to you, along with the benefits and alternatives, before anything is administered.
Who carries out the infusions?
In Switzerland, a vitamin infusion is a medical procedure. A doctor reviews your history, treatments and allergies, then prescribes or validates the infusion. A registered nurse, specifically trained in these infusions, then administers it according to the prescription.
What training do Yuboost doctors have?
All our doctors are FMH-certified, which is a specialist qualification with the right to practise in Switzerland. They then specialised in functional medicine and micronutrition, and continue to train in longevity medicine.
Are infusions legal and reimbursed?
They are legal and routinely given in hospitals and family medicine practices, where basic insurance reimburses them when they treat a deficiency or an illness. Infusions for prevention or recovery, like those at Yuboost, fall outside that scope: a private medical service, with no reimbursement.
Is there a risk in taking too many vitamins?
Yes. An overdose can cause stomach pain, diarrhoea or kidney stones, and two recent studies have noted an increased risk of certain cancers with chronic overdosing in people carrying specific genetic mutations. Follow the leaflet and your doctor's recommendations: at Yuboost, a vitamin check-up is systematically offered before any long-term supplementation.
Which studies support vitamin infusions?
Many studies document the role of vitamins in health. One of the most comprehensive, on infusions in female patients with fatigue, was published in Nutrients in 2023. Our articles cite the sources.
Check-ups
Who are our check-ups for?
For anyone who wants to better understand their current state of health and act preventively: actively managing your health with concrete data, detecting deficiencies or imbalances early, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with an approach based on biology and micronutrition. Yuboost works alongside traditional medical care.
What types of check-up do you offer?
Oligo-Check (spectrophotometry), full medical check-up, NAD+ check-up, vitamins and minerals check-up, male and female hormone check-ups, digestive microbiome analysis, screening for heavy metal overload, screening for sexually transmitted diseases.
Are check-ups done at home?
Yes, our nurses come to your home for all our check-ups. Oligo-Check results are immediate; the others arrive by e-mail within 7 to 14 working days depending on the check-up. The NAD+ test can also be sent to your home: two drops of blood from a fingertip are enough.
How long until I get my results?
Oligo-Check: immediate. Blood tests: within 7 working days. NAD+ check-up: within 14 working days.
Do I need a prescription?
No, all our check-ups can be done without a prescription. You receive a medical report analysed by our doctor specialising in functional medicine, with personalised recommendations.
What do I do with the results?
Our experts help you understand your results and give you advice to build into your daily life (nutrition, lifestyle, exercise). If needed, a personalised vitamin infusion protocol is offered.
Can I have a check-up without an infusion?
Yes. A check-up on its own is a good first step to understand your needs.
Is a check-up necessary before an infusion?
Once a year, we recommend the full medical check-up and the vitamins and minerals profile. For a precise longevity strategy, the NAD+ test twice a year. Other check-ups depend on individual needs.
Does a doctor review my results?
Yes, a doctor specialising in functional medicine reviews all your results and writes a personalised report with tailored recommendations.
How does Yuboost's approach differ from traditional medicine?
A preventive, personalised approach focused on optimising your wellbeing before symptoms appear: targeted check-ups to understand your real needs, even if you feel well, then tailored protocols, including infusions at home. Each report is explained clearly, with steps you can act on.
Is a blood test needed before an infusion?
We recommend it. A blood draw assesses the blood count, kidney and liver function and the vitamins and minerals profile. Other analyses are possible: heavy metals, NAD+. Everything we measure.
Understanding your results
When do I get my results?
Oligo-Check: immediately, at your home. Blood tests: within 7 working days. NAD+ check-up: within 14 working days. Everything arrives by e-mail, with the doctor's report.
What is a biomarker?
A measurable value in the blood or tissues that tells you how an organ or system is working: ferritin for iron, TSH for the thyroid, HbA1c for sugar. Our 120 biomarkers, by system.
What happens if a result is abnormal?
The doctor explains it in the report and calls you if a value needs prompt attention. If necessary, they refer you to your regular doctor or a specialist.
Can I share my results with my doctor?
Yes. You receive the full report as a PDF, with the laboratory values, which you can pass on to anyone you like.
Do biomarkers change over time?
Yes, that is the whole point of follow-up: repeating a check-up after a few months shows the effect of changes to your lifestyle, supplementation or infusions.
